What is a Trax? The Trax is a subcompact SUV built in the Changwon, Korea, assembly plant and sold worldwide by Chevrolet. The 2026 Trax is a budget friendly crossover that starts around $21,700. It features a 137 HP horsepower turbocharged 3 cylinder gas engine with front wheel drive FWD, and it gets an EPA estimated 30 MPG in combined driving, with generous passenger and cargo space for its class.

The options on the SUV are: the sunroof package for $895, the driver confidence package for $795, the Midnight Edition package for $695, and the LT convenience package for $595. The manufacturer's suggested retail price, MSRP, including the $1,795 delivery charge is: $27,975.
After adding in the state and local sales tax, plus the DMV and dealer fees, the out the door and in your garage total purchase price came to $31,472. At just 472 bucks over $31 Grand you get Chevy's subcompact SUV that gets a nice 30 MPG in everyday driving. Plus this crossover has the Sunroof Package that adds a power glass moonroof with a manual retracting shade to let in the sun and the moon on those warm summer days.
