The 2025 BMW 760i xDrive M Sport GT Sedan

You Are What You Drive - A Bottom Line Review
By Tony Leopardo - The Car Guy © AutoWire.Net

What is a 760i? The 760i is a full size sedan built in the Dingolfing, Germany, assembly plant and sold worldwide by BMW. The 760i is BMW's flagship full size luxury sport sedan, blending ultra premium limousine comfort with massive sportscar performance. For the 2025 model year the 760i comes standard with all wheel drive, xDrive, and the aggressive M Sport exterior body styling, making it look and handle much sportier than traditional executive autobahn cruisers.

And who is BMW? BMW, the Bavarian Motor Works, is a prominent German automaker. Headquartered in Munich, Germany, the company is owned by the BMW Group, which also manufactures and distributes MINI cars and Rolls Royce vehicles. The company traces its origins back to 1916 as an aircraft engine manufacturer and is now over 110 years old.

To promote this updated model, this week BMW sent me a 2025 760i xDrive Sport Sedan to test drive and review. The base window sticker price for this M Sport Edition is $122,400. The 12 options on the car are the special paint for $5,500, the interior upgrades for $1,000, the autobahn package for $3,600, the professional driving assistance package for $2,000, the BMW individual composition package for $5,450, the luxury rear seating package for $3,000, the M Sport professional package for $950, the executive package for $4,300, the rear executive lounge seating for $7,250, the M Star multi spoke 21" alloy wheels for $1,300, the two tone black Sapphire metallic paint for $12,000, and the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround audio system for $4,800. The manufacturer's suggested retail price, MSRP, including the $1,175 delivery charge is: $174,725.

After adding in the state and local sales tax, plus the DMV and dealer fees, the out the door and in your garage total purchase price came to $196,566. At just 343 bucks under $197 Grand you get BMW's flagship full size luxury M Sport sedan that gets 18 MPG in city driving, 25 MPG in highway driving, and 20 MPG in combined driving. These are great numbers for an incredibly fast and large executive Sport Sedan that can go from 0 to 60 MPH in only 4.1 seconds, and it has an electronically limited top speed of 150 MPH.

This straight line performance is powered by a 4.4L liter Twin Power Turbo V8 engine with mild hybrid technology. This engine generates an impressive 536 HP horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, and is paired with an 8 speed automatic transmission and standard AWD all wheel drive, and you can get all of this for less than $200,000. That's a great price for a car in the full size luxury sport sedan GT Grand Touring market, and less than the other Sport Sedan makers, like Aston Martin, Bentley, Porsche and Mercedes Benz.

The 2025 BMW 760i xDrive is a GT sport sedan blending track level performance with a private jet like cabin. It offers a Bowers & Wilkins 36 speaker Diamond surround sound system and an optional 31" inch drop down theater screen, that turns the rear seats into a private movie theater.

Ferocious Performance: Despite its size, the 760i xDrive launches like a sports car, thanks to its intelligent AWD all wheel drive traction control system.
Engine: It has a 4.4L liter Twin Power Turbo V8 gas engine paired with a 48V volt mild hybrid system.
Power & Torque: 536 HP horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque.
Speed: 0 to 60 MPH in roughly 4.1 seconds.
Handling: Features standard integral active steering with rear wheel steering, which shrinks the turning radius and makes this large sedan feel highly agile in city traffic.

Cinematic Rear Lounge: The back of the 760i is where the vehicle truly shines, acting like a luxurious executive lounge.
Theater Mode: An optional 31" inch 8K BMW Theater Screen drops down from the roof, complete with Amazon Fire TV integration and 5G connectivity.
Door Controls: Rear passengers have dedicated 5.5" inch touch screens mounted in the rear doors to manage climate, seat reclining, and the window blinds.
Executive Seating: The seats feature lavish quilting, with heating, cooling, and extensive massage programs.

Futuristic Technology & Design: The front cabin is anchored by tech flourishes that make driving feel like stepping into the future.
BMW Panoramic iDrive Display: A massive curved glass screen that stretches across the dashboard running the iDrive 8.5 system.
Iconic Glow: The front kidney grille lights up, and you can opt for spectacular glass headlights embedded with Swarovski crystals.
Immersive Audio: An available 36 speaker Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System that delivers 4 D audio with integrated bass shakers in the seats.
Motorized Doors: The doors can open and close electronically at the touch of a button, or via your smartphone.

So, who is the real buyer for a BMW 760i? The real buyer of a new, or slightly used, 2025 760i xDrive Sport Sedan is typically an affluent, self made entrepreneur, corporate suite executive, or a tech founder in the 45 to 65 age bracket. One who prioritizes a bold, polarizing exterior and high tech interior, and insists on driving the car themselves, rather than being chauffeured. The profile of the 760i buyer breaks down into 3 specific categories.

The Driver First Executive: Unlike buyers of the Mercedes Benz S Class or Bentley Flying Spur, who often opt for a chauffeur, the 760i owners want to drive. They buy this specific model because it mates a 536 HP horsepower twin turbo V8 engine with standard all wheel drive AWD, launching the 5,095 lb sedan from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds.
The Tech Enthusiast: These buyers treat the cabin like a rolling tech palace. They are drawn to the theater like luxury provided by the massive 31" inch 8K rear screen, the 36 speaker Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system, and the interior's impeccable detailing.
The Financially Savvy Dealmaker: New 7 Series models depreciate quickly, meaning the real market often includes second hand buyers or lessees taking advantage of deep dealership discounts, such as 0.9% financing or thousands of dollars under MSRP, rather than paying the full sticker price out of pocket.

If this is you, then call, click or visit your local BMW dealer for a test drive, and a bottom line price review on 2025 760i xDrive M Sport GT Sedan. And remember that the base price for a new 760i starts at only $122,400. BMW - The Ultimate Driving Machine.

The key to life is to learn something new every day, and by reading my Bottom Line review, I hope you did just that, learned about something new and exciting. So, be smart, stay safe, and just breathe. Remember, You Are What You Drive, and maybe, just for those reasons alone, you should Drive one, Buy one, Today. Drive safely, have a great day, and enjoy the ride, as the future looks nice and bright - Tony the Car Guy.
